DAY 5 OF CLASS (1/10)

 Sziasztok!

We started off the day with our typical routine- a delicious breakfast and a commute to the school. Professor Berliner (sporting black jeans and a maroon sweater) declared today's math class "prime day" and we explored infinitely confusing theoretical lists of prime numbers.

Today's rather confusing lesson

After a quick lunch break where a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and other delicious foods were consumed, we all settled in for our final Hungarian lesson. Emese cheered us on as we practiced our speaking skills through short skits and she brought us "Hungarian friends" to talk with in groups. We finished up our Hungarian lessons by singing a children's song, "Tigris".

Working hard on our Hungarian

Genuine joy upon meeting our new Hungarian friends

With Hungarian lessons complete, a small group of Oles headed over to Buda Castle to visit the Hungarian National Gallery (not Natalie, however-- she took a well-deserved nap). We walked through exhibits highlighting different eras of Hungarian art. There were a wide variety of styles: modern, realism, impressionist, and many more. We found some of the artwork extremely relatable.

One of the many beautiful exhibits

Tonight's itinerary includes getting dinner, finishing those pesky homework problems, and continuing to explore the beautiful city of Budapest- a nice end to our first week of classes in Hungary.

This is Natalie, Roxanne, Emily N, and Grace signing off!
