Antepenultimate Special
The first day without classes was an oddity indeed. Not only did many sleep in for the first time on a weekday (Noah Mark Jansen, who finally had enough time to grab a muffin for breakfast), but some went on runs (such as our own ostrich enjoyer Henry Lien), while others went to the gym for a morning lift (Benji Luke Leia Emperor Palpatine R2D2 C3PO Greedo Sebulba Admiral Ackbar General Grievous Obi-Wan Yoda Mace Windu Qui-Gon Jinn Jar Jar Binks Darth Maul Count Dooku Padme Captain Rex Wicket Warrick Darth Vader Clone 1 Clone 2 … Clone k(prove there are infinite clones of the form 2c +1 for every c>-1) Kit Fisto Ahsoka Tano Plo Koon Ki Adi Mundi Mon Mothma Boba Jango Fett Greedo Nien Nunb Zupfer). After such a tiring morning, people headed out for lunch, making sure to hit every spot they want to before we depart on Friday morning. Some went to Mexican restaurants, while others traveled the city to find the best coffee shop.
The exquisite afternoon of homework and free time for those lurking in the hotel was brought to a momentous stop as the loudspeakers overhead chimed for a fire alarm and immediate evacuation. As the students scurried down the stairs, they clenched their dear laptops for the impending doom of a fire destroying the building. They reached the bottom to await their fate and found out someone set off the smoke alarm so it was all g. Afterward, the project groups gathered to put the finishing touches (or start…) their presentations and share ideas about the best way to share with others.
The one planned event for the day was the long awaited GROUP PRESENTATIONS!!! There was a lot to hear about between cafes, cakes, art, climbing, mini statues, the Hungarian language, local music, and volunteer work around the city. After everyone's outstanding presentations, Emese gave goodbye gifts to bring home and reminded us of Budapest.
(Henry wrote this part) Departing for dinner, the JJ McCarthy fan club went to a restaurant floating on the Danube! BBQ was on the menu, just like Shaq is much better than Giannis and would BBQ Chicken that man. Many a rack-o-ribs and armadillo eggs were devoured. Yet, our cravings were not yet satisfied, so a chimney cake was needed before heading back to the hotel. Office hours came and went, homework was completed and submitted, and saunas were hot because the cold tub was drained.
Nevertheless, another day in Budapest is past. As the final draws near, we must stay focused, my brothers. A new Pokemon deck drops tomorrow, and we must keep our eyes on the prize. Thankfully, Khris Middleton will be traded so everyone can sleep peacefully, and Dame can shoot more Tony Snell games. And good riddance adios Fox!
