Day 4 of Class!
As per Alex, Berit, and Flower Girl’s (Sam’s) post yesterday, today began with breakfast consisting of plenty of coffee. In Number Theory today we covered proof by induction, a technique Prof. Berliner thought very highly of and Kathy enthusiastically learned! Benji also proclaimed his enjoyment of the subject with "Induction is going to induce serious growth of my noggin.” Today, Prof. Berliner handsomely sported a black sweater and chalkless blue jeans.
After the gradual chalking of Prof. Berliner's jeans throughout our morning lecture, we enjoyed an extended lunch, resulting in kebab for the third day in a row for some, as our afternoon Hungarian session was postponed until tomorrow. Being the phenomenal students we are, everyone used the extra time to get a head start on the homework!
Instead of our normal Hungarian lesson we started planning our Hungarian projects. With the help of some local mentors we are breaking into groups that will look at various aspects of Hungarian culture. With topics such as Hungarian art, folk music and dances, non profit organizations and of course the ever important climbing culture, these projects will be super fun or in the case of the cafe and cake shop project probably tasty.
After the end of our day at McDaniel College, groups split up to embark on their own adventures. One group started exploring the city while looking for Kolodko Statues for their project while others elected to get started on their assigned induction problems.

Another small group ventured further from the downtown area to Groupama Arena to secure supporter cards for Ferencvarosi Torna Club, a Hungarian Professional soccer team. Quite boldly, we elected to attend the only home game at 9 pm the night before the main group's 6:30 am flight bright and early the following home.

Tonight many of us will continue to explore the city getting out and about visiting some fabled ruined establishments.
