Our Penultimate Day
Our day started with a trip to the Vasarely Museum which is located in the Baroque Zichy Palace. Vasarely happens to be one of Professor Berliner's favorite artists, especially his Planetary Forklore, Permutations and algorithms, Homage to the hexagon, Vonal, and Universal expansive regressive structures periods. Interestingly, our guide at the Museum, Litza, was born in Minnesota. Litza moved to Hungary after college and has lived there ever since. She is pictured below in the black sweater and patterned skirt.
After a more sensible supper at Leila's which is authentic Lebanese, Adam and I treated the Trivia winners (Sam, Collin, Will) to chimney cakes at Molnars. Unfortunately, Dan wasn't able to join us.
To cap off the evening, many of us gathered on the 2nd floor lounge space for our last "Office Hours."
After learning about Vasarely and his art, we had the opportunity to put together puzzles and create art projects based on Vasarely's work.
After completing the activities, we had time to explore the museum a bit more. I was able to snap a candid photo of Adam and Litza in front of one of Adam's favorite pieces.
Then, it was off to lunch. Adam and Kathy decided to have dessert for lunch and opted for gelato flowers. Sydney, Sonja and Grace discovered "The Flying Broom" which is a Harry Potter themed restaurant.
To cap off the evening, many of us gathered on the 2nd floor lounge space for our last "Office Hours."
Good Luck on the final tomorrow!!
Kathy
