First Day of Class + Hungarian Lessons!

Some of us started off the day bright and early. . . 4:30 to be exact! Only to watch the Viking lose in an embarrassing fashion. However, after the poor start to the day, we had a nice breakfast and headed to the school for our first day of class. While there, we did some math (obviously), but afterwards, got to walk around the city for a nice lunch break! Some of us tried some new foods and unfamiliar restaurants while others went for some American classics.

After lunch, we got to learn some Hungarian from Emese as well! She taught us common phrases and sayings that would allow us to communicate more effectively with the locals. She also taught us some Hungarian digraphs that are not found in english. Lastly, she had us practice our new pronunciation and knowledge of words through a children's song.

After class we had free time to enjoy the city and grab some local cuisine. Professor Berliner hosted the first homework help session. Which had a whopping 16 attendees and most of us wrapped up our first day of classes and our first homework.

That's all for today, and as we learned in Hungarian: Viszlát és jó reggelt! (Goodbye and goodnight!)
