First Full Day in Budapest!

While many of us were still struggling with jetlag this morning, we enjoyed our first breakfast and relaxing morning of the trip! With no Number Theory homework yet to do, we all met up to play some icebreakers and get to know each other a little better! We also celebrated Ben Lim's 21st birthday with the traditional Turorudi candy.

We then went on a walking tour with our guides from the area, Emese and other students. We took the trolley to see parliament, Hungarian art, statues of U.S. presidents, and a Soviet-era monument. We concluded the tour with Langos for Lunch, which is fried dough with various toppings.

With the rest of the afternoon to ourselves, we had our first chance to explore the city independently. Henry, Sam, and Colin got their first big run in and did the full lap of Margaret Island, which lies along the river. Others practiced their navigating skills on the bus line and joined Ben for his birthday dinner to get some delicious donor chicken.
