Midterm & Free Weekend Start!

The day started out with textbooks, notebooks, and talk of factorials and induction theories at breakfast as students completed the final preparation for their Number Theory midterm exam.

Then, students were off to places such as Vienna, Austria and Bratislava, Slovakia for the free weekend! We’ve received reports that everyone has arrived at their destinations safely. Yummy pictures of delicious food discovered along the way provide further proof of a successful travel day.

Those of us staying here in Budapest also made the most of the start of our free weekend. Professor Berliner graded exams all afternoon, while Kathy and Max ventured to Fisherman’s Bastion, St. Mattias Church, and the Hospital in the Rock Museum.

After Adam finished several hours of grading, we enjoyed the beautiful lights of the city on a cruise on the Danube and ended our evening with pizza and pasta from Vapiano Belváros Budapest.

Tomorrow we’re off to more adventures in Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest to make the most of our free weekend. We marvel at the wonderful opportunity we have been given to spend this month with such bright, thoughtful, and joyful Oles!
